Visit Pookode Lake-a picturesque freshwater lake with attractions including Boating, Children's Park, Fresh Water Aquarium, Handicrafts and Emporium Spices. After Breakfast, start for sightseeing. Visit Edakkal Caves - which can be reached by around 1 Hr. Uphill Trek from Edakkal. Inside the caves are stone age carvings believed to be dating to at least 5000 BC, indicating the presence of prehistoric civilization in this region. Visit Wayanad Heritage Museum the archaeological museum in Wayanad, which has one of Kerala's largest collections of the remnants of an era dating back to the 2nd century A.D. The exhibits here are evidence of an advanced civilization that existed in the mountains of Wayanad. Visit Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary - Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally as well. Various species of deer, monkeys and birds also live here. By around 09:00 AM, Check Out and go for sightseeing. Visit Soochipara Waterfalls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by evergreen forest. The drive from Meppadi to Soochipara Waterfalls offers scenic views of one of the best tea estates in Wayanad, Lakkidi View Point - with its winding roads, the bird's eye view of the deep valley from here is really breathtaking & Thusharagiri Waterfalls. By around 04:00 PM, proceed to Calicut. Drop Back to Calicut (Kozhikode) Railway Station before 07:00 PM.
